TRANSFERS... YAY....... wait WHAT.. NO!!!

So Elder Norman was transferred again which is super exciting, and were one transfer closer to being together again. :) But transfers aren't such a happy thing when your missionary is transferred  to the farthest South part of the mission and only lives 4 hours away from you! Yeah .. I wasn't to happy. Its SOOOOO tempting just to drive up and visit. Especially since he is closer now than when he is back HOME HOME in California. :/ Oh well, at least letters and packages come and go faster! :)

An angel from above...

Once upon a time there was this gorgeous girl living in Montana who just so happened to be a photographer. Her name was Emily. She lived in the area that the courageous, strong, and ridiculously handsome missionary Elder Norman was serving in. One day she ran into Elder Norman and his companion, and took pictures of them. A few days past and this beautiful girl shared the pictures with Madelyn; a girl who was faithfully waiting for Elder Norman's return (from his two year mission to baptize the lost souls and save the world).. so they could be together for Eternity.Well Emily and Madelyn became good friends at the perfect moment. You see Emily was going through some hardships that Madelyn was able to help her with, and Madelyn was going through some hardships as well. Emily didn't know this, but she helped Madelyn a LOT in her time of need, and she said JUST the right things that Madelyn needed to here. So from that day on, in Madelyn's eyes, Emily was...and still is... an Angel from above.

Just one of THOSE days.. :(

So if your an MG you totally know what I'm talking about when I say "one of THOSE days". We all have them every once in a while. One of those days where you feel like this two year journey is really longer than a lifetime, and you miss them so badly, your heart literally aches to just be in their arms again. A Day where all you want to do is wear some comfy sweats/ yoga pants, listen to depressing music ALL DAY LONG and watch sappy love movies and CRY CRY CRY because your life feels like a black hole and you are in the bottomless pit of depression. I know sounds super dramatic, but hey they totally happen! Well today has been one of those days. Even though I was with friends and family all day, it was still hard. Especially when two of your friends are having a total cuddle session right before your eyes! Its like REALLY PEOPLE... DON'T YOU KNOW how I feel right now? I guess its not fair to feel like that if I don't tell them I'm having a rough day. The world doesn't revolve around me. Anyway, luckily there are multiple support groups on F.B. for Missionary Girlfriends. All you MG's out there are the reason I am still going strong.

Time really is going faster now that I have hit the year mark, even though today REALLY didn't seem like it. I just need to keep bettering myself. I need to remember that he loves me and that this is the right thing. I need to remember that this is the Lord's work he is doing, and if its meant to be, this two year journey will strengthen and bless our relationship/ marriage (hopefully/eventually).

Today is a very special day. It has a special place in my heart. Today marks one year since an AMAZING missionary and my very best friend Elder Richard Jason Norman entered the MTC and became one of Gods precious Servants. He has blessed so many lives and I couldn't be prouder of who this man has become. Only one more year till I can see my best friend again!  Keep up the wonderful work Elder.

Elder Norman is...

My missionary, (Well technically he is the Lord's), Elder Norman is one of the greatest young men on this planet!! I am so lucky to be a part of his life. He makes me so happy, and because of him I always strive to be a better person. He is the perfect example of how every young man should act. He has so many great qualities and is one of the most Christ-like people I have ever met. He always puts others before him self. Here is a list of 
ATTRIBUTES HE POSSESSES THAT I LOVE:

1. He is an active member of the LDS church (obviously or he wouldn't be serving a mission)

I wish I was more of a journal writer, I really wish I was a better blogger, and I just really wish I had more time to myself. I have committed to do a lot better with my posting about my sweet Missionary! I haven't posted in ages. So I am going to do a whole bunch of posts to catch up. I mean who could resist this stud of a missionary?!

PACKAGE!!!!!!!

YAY!!!! A Package! Every MG's Favorite thing!!! There is nothing better than getting a package from my sweet missionary.

He sent me:

 A Letter + and SD card loaded with pictures and videos... :) This was by FAR my favorite part of the whole thing! :)


 A copy of the newspaper that he and his companion were on the front page of.

... and last but not least, ANTLERS!! He is in Montana after all.

YOU'VE GOT MAIL.... NOT!! :(

The worst part about waiting for a missionary is obviously the fact that you go SO DARN LONG without seeing your missionary. But the second worst part is the constant anticipation of receiving a letter or package. Especially when your missionary warns you about it first...

When life gives you lemons...

So this week, Elder Norman and his companion came up with a creative way to spread the gospel. a Lemonade stand.. brilliant right?!?! This is what he said in his weekly email:

"This week we tried to really do creative things to find people because tracting is becoming really unsuccessful.  so on Saturday we set up a free lemonade stand and had a few kids from our ward come.  Don't worry wee paid them with some of my birthday candy.  The stand was a success! we got one new investigator and 3 referrals!   We are gonna teach our new investigator tomorrow. "

Transfers!!!

Elder Norman has spent September12th-February 25th in Thermopolis Wyoming. This week he was finally transfered to Great Falls, Montana!! Congrats Elder Norman!!! <3 Keep up the good work!

Will you be my Valentine?

Sneak Peak: The Juicy stuff is more toward the end, so be sure to read it all! :)

So a week before Valentines day I took a picture and posted it to Facebook, and Twitter through my Instagram seriously hoping he would see it. { He is on a media mission :D}

Lucky enough for me.. he DID see the post. :) On Valentines day I got a package from my sweetheart with a sweet card and some yummy goodies he had baked for me. I think they are just called Oreo creme truffles..

 He also sent me a letter, a new stuffed animal {sprayed like crazy with his cologne} and an SD card literally FULL of pictures and videos to share with me. One of the videos he had a done a video letter and talked about the picture I posted. What a sweetie. He also sent me a video of a him playing the ukulele and singing a song he wrote for me. { Precious Right?!?!?} The words are perfect for us and he couldn't have written a better song. I will post  the song video on its own post.. :)

Now here come the fun stuff. So for HIS package I went a little cray-cray. But what can I say, I am an MG madly in love, and cant see my man on the one day where you can display all the P.D.A. you want.. {well thats debatable...} Well you had bet your left half of your body that I'm gonna send him a package, and a good one at that. So being the doting MG I am I sent him...

• An adorably decorated box...
• A box of cheesecake mix { He loves making cakes}
• A rose that blooms open and reads " I Love You" on the center
• A case of Mac-N-Cheese -- A Must have for ALL missionaries..
• A bunch of pictures I payed to get printed
• And last but not least his favorite candies...

Not to mention I sprinkled the box and practically covered the insides with heart shaped confetti.. He even wrote about the mess in an email. {SUCCESS}  :)

It read:

"Valentines day went well. :) I got a package from my family and they got me all my favorite candies. So thank you mom and dad!  I also got a package from Madelyn. She put a ton of heart shaped confetti in the box along with a few other things.  So now I keep finding little heart confetti In everything!  haha Thanks Madelyn. "

Silly boy.. oh well..  I was glad he enjoyed his Holiday, as did I. In the end thats all that matters, not even a mess of heart shaped confetti. :)
